Our rental Villa is ideally positioned for centre based walking holidays in Le Marche being within a short distance of most of the main start points for hikes in this part of the Appenines. Situated on the edge of the Sibillini Mountains National Park that protects this part of the Appenine mountains and only 2km from the trekking centre and medieval town of Sarnano in this wonderful part of Le Marche, Italy.
A range of Hiking terrains for all abilities
The whole area is ideal for ramblers holidays, being dissected by networks of hiking trails and old mule tracks; which are well marked on the maps that open the whole area up for independent Italy walking holidays. From the villa there are many circular routes around Sarnano for walkers of all abilities and we have many other itineraries that head up into the national park and along the ridges of the Sibillini Mountains for those who are looking for mountain trekking holidays with a difference.
After a day walking in Italy retire to the garden of our villa voted “excellent” on trip advisor, retire to the poolside, pick some free organic fruit and vegetables from the villa garden or head into Sarnano, a town that’s been voted one of the most beautiful in Italy!

The walks and hikes range from easy to challenging and all include maps and detailed instructions, distances and the height being climbed. Walking holidays in Italy – Le Marche and its rolling hills
If you prefer a more gentle walking holiday in Italy as opposed to a full on Italy hiking holiday in the mountains, then there are a variety of circular walks available from the villa, ranging from 2-30 km.
These are generally easy or only moderately challenging and most follow white unmade roads through the ancient medieval villages of the Monti Azzuri, or, Blue Mountains of Le Marche, across the many rivers and rolling hills around Sarnano and most pass by a local osteria or trattoria for essential refuelling.
All the routes we have selected for our walking holidays in Italy have amazing views of the Mountains and a number enter the Sibillini National Park.

Guests who prefer trekking, rambling or hiking on a mountain holiday, can also request circular itineraries for a large variety of hikes in the Sibillini national park, these range from moderate walking to challenging hiking and trekking.
Many of our itineraries for ramblers holidays follow the mountain ridges at 2000 metres with views of the Adriatic to the East and Umbria to the West, others follow the many gorges that thread their way through the mountains. Where possible, our Italy hiking and trekking routes pass by Mountain refuges which are open for sumptuous lunches or a drink in the Summer or at weekends in Spring and Autumn.

The National Park tourist office has a detailed topographical map for your Marche walking holiday in Italy and a wealth of information on the area, its geology, geography, flora, fauna and they also produce itineraries (although many are only in Italian) and lead themed guided walks throughout the spring, summer and autumn months.
The National Parks Italy hiking & Italy walking varies in difficulty and terrain and most walks aim to introduce the visitor to the Park’s history, wildlife and the area’s artisans. The Alpine Club of Italy (CAI) also arrange a similar schedule of hiking that leave the local town Sarnano on most Spring and Summer weeknds.
