Drive just 1km from our award winning self catering accommodation and you will find yourself in the Sibillini National Park that protects the wildlife and medieval villages in this beautiful stretch of the Apennine Mountains to the South West of Le Marche.
In the Sibillini Mountains you will find 10 peaks in excess of 2000m, rivers, stunning waterfalls, caves, gorges and lakes, all within easy reach of the Villa. Our past guest have found it a great place to bird watch. The best areas are all reachable by small roads and there are many tracks and trails that allow the visitor to immerse themselves far away from human life and find wildlife and rare birds.
On an Italy birding holiday in this part of Le Marche, the twitcher, birder or ornithologist can see more than 150 kinds of birds, including the golden eagle, the goshawk, the sparrow hawk, the rock partridge, the peregrine, the eagle owl, the wall creeper, the snow finch, and the chough.

Italy Birdwatching holidays – Wetland birds
15 km from the villa is a wetland or march alongside the river Chienti; which is home to many impressive bird species such as Purple Herons, cranes, Cetti’s warbler, Marsh harriers, Great Reed warblers, lapwings, ducks and grebes. The habitat and birdwatching in this area changes in the Summer months when the march is flooded and becomes a reservoir or lake.
