When you visit Le Marche you will inevitably be struck by the wonderful bucolic landscape, the rich cultural heritage, the historic architecture and the quality of the local produce. But we'd like to help you get under Le Marche's skin, meeting local artisans and experiencing the true flavour of rural life.

The region's economy has traditionally been based upon agriculture and the fantastic products made by local artisans. Most of these artisans work for small family businesses that have handed down skills from one generation to the next, many still work by hand and, despite the demands of the global marketplace, there is still relatively little mechanisation.

With the help of friends who were born and raised in the area, are extremely passionate about nature and the traditional Le Marche way of life we are pleased to offer you the following excursions that will allow you to experience and better understand why life here has remained unchanged for centuries.

Truffle Hunting

Experience a fantastic day truffle hunting with experts and their dogs in local woodland, then take part in a cookery course using your own truffles and sit down and sample local wines and a mouth watering menu based around "your" truffles. Cost €90 per person- minimum 2 persons.

Wine Tour & outlet visit

Visit a medieval town and it's Marche winery, where the owner and 3rd generation of wine producers will discuss his life in wine, the vines, the vineyard and the production methods. Finally, the owner will take you through a tasting of his best wines accompanied by locally produced foods. To finish the tour you will visit a knitwear manufacturer, learn about the history, processes and products and will have the opportunity to buy cashmere jumpers and scarves at outlet prices. Cost €15 per person, minum 4 excludes transport.

Mount Sibilla Cycle tour & Tasting

Take a guided mountain bike tour through stunning scenery into the heart of the Sibillini Mountains and scale the mountain that gives it's name to this range. The medium level 22km tour includes bike hire, insurance and a guide and ends with a tasting of "prodotti tipici"- locally produced meats, cheeses and breads. Cost €50 per person including hire of bike, guide and insurance.

Quad Bike tour

Jump on a quad bike and enjoy the thrill of an expedition through culturally rich countryside on a quad bike, you will be led through woodland, hills and rivers. The trip will culminate in a visit to a local producer for a tasting of prodotti tipici- locally produced hams, salamis and cheeses. Price €80 per person for a half day trip including insurance and guide- Min 2 quads.

Tour of the best Le Marche Factory Outlets

Accompany your personal shopper on a tour of some of the best of Le Marche's factory outlets selling Shoes handbags and alla moda clothing. The trip will take about 5 hours and will take in numerous outlets and includes aperitifs during the course of the day. Cost €35 per person/ minimum 2 persons/ excludes transport.

Self guided wine tour of Central Marche

We have visited many cantinas ourselves and sampled some great wines, it's as simple as turning up and saying "Potremmo assegiare i vini per favore?", if you want to taste the draft wines then ask "Potremmo assegiare gli sfusi". We have put together a round trip, that takes in numerous local cantinas, some fantastic medfieval towns and the wonderful coastal region of the Conero National Park that is home to the wonderful robust Rosso Conero.
