Sarnano is 1km away has been voted one of the most beautiful villages in Italy by the Italian tourist board and is home to great shops, bars and at least 20 ristorante. There’s always a buzz in town, with the locals going about their daily chores and festas and live music throughout the Spring and Summer months.

The villa, gardens & local area are designed with your entertainment and relaxation in mind.
The Swimming Pool at our Le Marche farmhouse
Our 14-metre pool is adjacent to the Villa and enjoys incredible views. The size of the pool and the south-facing sunbathing area are large to give all guests their own space. From the raised pool area, you can delight in the uninterrupted views of Sarnano, the Le Marche hills and the Sibillini mountains, far away from the stresses of normal life.The pool is open from the end of May until late September. The Courtyard Garden
Between the Villa and the barn we have an indoor courtyard garden or cortile, a glorious tranquil spot to relax on your Italian holiday with a drink or to eat alfresco. Enjoy the spectacular view through the vine covered arch to Sarnano and the surrounding lush green countryside of Marche. At night, with the soft lighting and candles on the tables, it is an ideal spot to unwind after a busy day of sun-bathing, sight-seeing and festas. The Villa gardens
There is ample space for relaxing in the Villa's gardens and six seperate spots dedicated to alfresco eating to ensure that each apartment has an area of their own in which to relax and enjoy the Marche views. The gardens have been landscaped and numerous trees have been planted to create interest, provide shade and to reduce carbon emissions. There are also 5 hammocks and many areas to relax The childrens play area with slide swings and climbing frame amuses the younger guests and badminton and volleyball are available to all The organic vegetable and herb gardens provide guests with a daily supply of tasty treats, perfect for that Italian self catering holiday. We also have a vineyard and provide wine to guests, there is a communal pizza oven and a BBQ available for guests.
The Villas kitchens
We have ensured that all kitchens in our self catering accommodation are well equipped with dishwashers, fridges, ovens, hobs, pans, crockery and cutlery. We know that if you are coming to Italy for your self catering holidays you must enjoy your Italian food. So we have made sure that the knives are sharp and the pans big enough for that Ragu
Entertainment at the Villa
All the holiday apartments have access to numerous board games and a movie, book and music library. Each apartment at our Le Marche Villa has wireless internet hook up, should you need it. We have a road bike and a mountain bike for your use. There is a badminton or volleyball net and equipment and tennis racquets.
Facilities in Sarnano
The medieval town of Sarnano (1½ km) has numerous restaurants serving traditional Marche dishes, a colourful weekly market and fishmongers, 7 butchers, a great array of delicatessens, 3 Supermarkets, bars, shops, churches, a gym, a park, childrens play area, a summer funfair, football pitch, crazy golf and a music pub that opens late. In summer months, barely a day goes by without a festa or some form of alfresco entertainment. .

Sustainable tourism
We try to be as kind to the beautiful Le Marche environment as possible, ensuring that we have a responsible attitude to precious resources and the local area.
Recycling & low energy usage
We have invested in a new wood burning central heating system which reduces gas usage at the self catering property by 80% and is fuelled using sustainable local wood sources. Water is supplied to the house from the mountains nearby and the Villa's own waste is filtered and excess water returns to the land. We have installed our own recycling bins for plastic, paper, glass and tins. Wherever possible we have used energy efficient light bulbs for lighting. In short, we hope that all we are doing will ensure that our tourism is sustainable tourism. Responsible travel also becomes a low cost holiday option as our reduced energy usage, whilst great for the environment, has also enabled us to pass savings on to our guests. During the renovation process the building was thoroughly insulated to reduce winter fuel costs and to maintain pleasant year-round ambient temperatures without the need for air conditioning. Absolutely all old materials were recycled; bricks, tiles and doors have been reused and wood that couldn't be reused became fuel.
Permaculture & organic food
There are no such things as Food Miles at the Villa as we have attempted to adopt permaculture principles and devoted an area of farmland to our abundant organic vegetable garden. Guests are welcome to pick their own herbs, fruit, nuts and vegetables. Recent crops have included walnuts, hazelnuts, figs, cherries, plums, tomatoes, potatoes, parsnips, swede, beetroot, chard, onions, garlic, chillis, eggplant or aubergine, peppers, cabbage, chickory, lettuce, rocket or rucola, fennel, broad beans, peas, chick-peas, cucumbers, zucchini, squash, sage, marjoram, basil, rosemary, bay, thyme, lavender and mint. All waste vegetable matter is composted and returned to fertilise the land
Italian Slow food
We have also planted a vineyard of Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah and our vineyard is now producing wines for the first time. There are also no food miles on most of the local food. Historically, Sarnano was a big cattle market town and the tradition lives on with the local food shops and the market. Most local vendors have strong links to the farms that supply them and know their produce well. There are also many specialists within a stones throw of the Villa producing cheeses, wines, salamis and prosciutto.
Carbon offsetting
2009 saw the villa planting over 30 trees as they devour 10 times their weight in Carbon. Most of these trees were Ash as they have the fastest growth to Carbon absorption rates. We hope that by taking this step we can offset some of our guests carbon emmissions

Having two children of our own, we are conscious of the need for family fun and we have put the Italian family model at the heart of our holidays in Italy, the villa is equipped with your children's happiness and contentment in mind
Italian Family holidays- the Villa
We have equipped the villa with a variety of elements that make it an ideal spot for Italy holidays with children; there is volleyball / badminton, swings, climbing frame, swings and a slide, there are hammocks amongst the Vines and and shady areas for alfresco eating or playing, the big pool is large enough for the guests from each of the 4 apartments and its fantastic to see kids from different families making friends. Beyond the vines is the vegetable plot and we encourage families to pick their own organic fruit, nuts and vegetables. At our Le marche villa there is a library of childrens DVDs, boxes full of games at the Italian villa, shelves full of books and wifi if they can't resist going online for gaming, music or video.
Family holidays in Italy- Sarnano for children
The local town of Sarnano is fully equipped for holidays in Italy with children and has a good kids playground and crazy golf, plus football pitches and a tennis court. There is also a big campsite just outside Sarnano which many Italians use in the summer and is open to the public, this has a pool, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, a shady riverside picnic area, swings and slides and many daily activities such as acquarobics and an open air disco

The Le Marche Villa lies on the edge of the Sibillini National park which is a paradise for Italian family walking holidays, family cycling holidays and family skiing holidays If you and your children fancy a spot of outdoor activity on your holiday in Italy. There are kayaking courses on a local lake, white water rafting through a canyon. The local parascending school cater for tandem jumps for adults and kids of all ages, there are two local places for horse riding on your Italy family holiday, At Lake Fiastra there is an adventure park. Also near to Norcia and Visso in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains is an adventure playground with zipwires, climbing and loads of excitement for all ages on your Italy family holiday. There is another family adventure Park in Cingoli in the heart of Le Marche, a wonderful town worth visiting in its own right for its views, architecture and lake, this adventure park makes it a trip for the whole family. If you fancy more white knuckle rides try Onda Blu Water park which is just over an hour away.
Art & Culture for the family
The Le Marche province has a host of diverse museums and galleries for a more cultural Italy family holiday: exhibits range from modern art to displays of artefacts used in the past by contadini/farmers in rural Marche life.
